Angela Allyn
Angela Allyn is a home birth mom of three children - ages 5, 9 & 12 - and an active volunteer
in each of their schools. An accomplished dancer and writer, Angela has been an arts
educator for more than 20 years, dedicated to bringing the arts to inner city youth, public
housing residents, and people with developmental disabilities. She has developed arts and
dance programs for a wide range of community organizations, including Head Start. Angela's
poetry, often centering on women's issues and parenting, has been published in several
collections and featured on Public Radio International. She currently serves as the Cultural
Arts Coordinator for the City of Evanston where she is responsible for summer camps and youth
programs serving over 600 children each year. Angela lives with her family in Evanston.
