Daniel O. Ash (Vice-Chair)
Daniel O. Ash is the father of three boys, ages 8, 6, and 1. He's the vice president of strategic
communications at Chicago Public Radio's WBEZ 91.5 FM. As a communications professional,
Daniel has worked in the not-for-profit sector on issues such as low-income families,
adolescent health, and HIV/AIDS. Regarding his most important job, Daniel notes that,
"each day, I - like most parents - struggle to balance the pressure of work and the
responsibility of family but I try to live by the principles that drive my advocacy:
children come first, children need loving, supportive parents, and society/government
must support that." Daniel lives with his family on Chicago's Southside.
