Evelyn Diaz (Secretary/Treasurer)
Evelyn Diaz is the proud mom of a five-year-old girl. She joined ParentsWork
because she is interested in finding ways to raise awareness about and motivate action to
address the costly trade-offs parents are forced to make in order to "be there" for their
kids. Evelyn is currently the Associate Director of the Chicago Jobs
Council, a nonprofit membership organization whose mission is to ensure employment and
career advancement opportunities for people in poverty. She has a graduate degree in social
service administration from the University of Chicago and brings experience in policy
analysis, advocacy, applied research, organizing, and nonprofit management. Evelyn lives
with her family in Chicago.
