Our Board of Directors

Kathy Stohr



Kathy Stohr is the mother of three daughters, ages 6, 4, and 1. For the past several years, she has been an independent consultant on childcare and early education policy issues and most recently, was the project director of Early Learning Illinois, a public education campaign focused on making improved and expanded pre-school opportunities a state policy priority. Kathy has also worked as a policy advocate at Action for Children and as an elementary school teacher in Chicago's North Lawndale neighborhood. She holds a masters degree in public policy from Georgetown University and currently serves on the board of the Carole Robertson Center and as a volunteer member of the Oak Park/River Forest Collaboration for Early Childhood Care & Education. Kathy lives with her family in Oak Park.
