Jenny Wittner
Jenny Wittner is the mother of two sons, ages 14 and 6 . She is Associate Director of Women Employed where her work focuses on the economic advancement of women in low-wage jobs. Prior to that, she was the director of the Chicago Commons Employment Training Center, a nationally recognized welfare-to-work program that helped parents gain better employment through education and training. Jenny holds a masters degree in linguistics from Northeastern Illinois University and has taught English as a Second Language. She is also the author of several reports and articles on adult education and welfare reform. Jenny lives with her family in Chicago’s Sauganash neighborhood.
